What were they thinking? That color simply does not work with the tail lights, period. No way around it.....

I never get this kind of comments.
If somebody is saying that a car is ugly (of course, a personal opinion), that automatically means that is not a positive forum?
A forum is a place where a circle of enthusiasts meet and discuss; which means each of us has something to say.
And if a car is ugly for him, he has the right to say so. I might agree or disagree with his opinion, but he has the right to express it.

On another note, if we stay positive just to be politically correct, we don't evolve. Criticism is not a negative thing.

PS
Don't like that combo either.
He has the right. So do I. I just get tired of the forum getting so watered down with opinions on paint color. We all know that many people will not like many colors, especially the funky ones. Plus, these pics aren't close to rendering the car or colors accurately.

Just not worth the $

BMW is really losing perspective of their vehicles.

It's just so...boring? I don't know.

I would sell it 😂 but if it was my money I wouldn’t buy that color

BMW needs to bring back a real red color for the M3 and M5, imola, Melbourne??

Also purely out of speculation who would pay that much money for a car A of that color and B would be happy with their 100k new car being driven on an open trailer in winter with no protective coverings...

I'd snatch it up if I was in the market for a sports sedan. This pic doesn't look that good but most of the others I have seen look great for the launch edition. And I'll speak for myself but I would rather have a unique color that I like than be just like everybody else. If im buying an expensive car... I don't want to look like everybody else. But that is just me.

while we're on the subject.. I kept getting mail spam from my local bmw dealer about my M5 lease being up soon. Yet I've gone twice (dec and jan I was asked to stop in and "talk") and they are like oh we're just gonna have to roll in your negative equity.

So you know what my immediate answer is but I'm thinking BMW pulls ahead non M cars all the time so why do the M faithful like me have to ride out the end of the lease? So back to my audi story. I tell my wife I'm gonna check the car out, I know how it drives and I love the color but bottom line is Audi has to buy out my lease.

Long story short Audi buys out the remaining 4 m5 lease payments and puts me in the RS7 that night for not much more than what the F90 M5 is going to go for.

A competitor is willing to throw money at me to switch but BMW won't consider a 3 month pull ahead to get a longtime BMW fan into a new M5?

smh.. at least the dealer got to see my rs7 when I dropped off the M5.

Well of course Audi did. The new A7 was just revealed and will be here in a few months. You would be able to get that RS7 for 25k less in a few months so it’s nothing to them to pick up 5k in remaining payments. Apples to oranges.

Absolute truth. My vision is an expired cherry juice.

I do not understand how people do applause to this color looking at the pictures of it in showrooms... The day one buys it is the last day car sees showroom. The rest of time it will be looking like it is on the trailer.

Ugly, tasteless and absolutely weird.

The updated RS7 won't be out till at least next year if not later as a 2020 model. Audi has the same (more or less) cadence to their RS line just like BMW M. I knew going in they were willing to deal based on the fact this is an outgoing model. Either way I'm happy with my outcome and hopefully I'll return if the LCI F90 M5 brings some of that sportiness back in the design department.

Kind of a crappy pic overall because of the weather and the angle. I like red overall, matte red makes the car look less elegant and more like a brute. Matches up well with the black grille, gills, etc.

Individual Lipstick and Ruby Red - these are great reds as well. Wish Individual exterior and interior customizations were more readily available for US customers.

There have been photos were it looks great and fits in with the tri-colors of the M badge, and photos were it looks to dull. All black accents are a must though for sure with this color.

Every new model that comes out theres a lot of bashing and then 1-2 years out it becomes their favorite vehicle.

To be honest I have waffled back and forth on getting rid of the M4 and getting the F90, Audi R8 or AMG GT-R. Traction on M4 is my biggest complaint even on MPSC2s.

I love the capability and price performance of the F90 platform as it constantly makes me rethink why I would get those other vehicles. However, the thing I don't like about most M's is BMW does not make them visually aggressive enough even with M-perf parts. The F90 is not immune to my thinking here and I dont think it is aggressive enough or that much different looks wise from the prior gen M5 regardless of paint colors.

I want my quarter panels to be more flared, lower stance, more visually impressive front bumpers and hoods. If the F90 fit this criteria I'd move to an M sedan. Unfortunately with leveraging common platforms and parts we wont get a huge deviation on the Ms. Maybe Im at a point where an M isn't my performance car anymore given my needs/desires. Regardless of looks F90 is very impressive!
