actually i decided to give up my spot stay home and try to work on a issue im having...cooling my brakes...thanks to my boy 1MOREMOD and his thread i setup a brake cooling system until a get a set of brake cooling plates on...

My first three track days started out ~37 degrees and wet. First day a 400 whp STI lifted on the back stretch (slight curve) nosed into the wall, bounced off and hit the outside wall and came back onto the track. I learned a lot that day.

Don't terminate the hose at the fender well. Continue it on, route and zip tie pointing at the back of the rotor. You can buy backing plates if you want but not necessary. The hose will get kinked and worn over time.

they are CF so o bending....i have a hand held belt sander but concerned it wont be even if done w/ a smaller hand held...i may have no choice though

That's pretty common. The nt01 splice thread demonstrated it, they kept telling mutiple people exactly that even though we all knew of the problem.

With that, I'm SURE those backing plates were made for OEM rotors with are 30mm thick. Assuming the same centerline on the rotor, a 380mmx35mm rotor would reduce clearance by 2.5mm. Those backing plates have to be close to the back of the rotor to minimize air leakage. Otherwise you drastically reduce the cooling effect.
