I think if he had said that then plenty of people would have quite rightly said it's nonsense. Can't imagine it would have gone down that well with the typical DM reader though.

I am a straight man but not homophobic, I have no problem with gay people, and I judge people as to whether or not I like them by the person they are (their personality in general) not their sexual preference, and the same applies to religion and skin colour. What I will say though is that being gay is not the 'norm' and anyone who tries to say otherwise is just trying to be politically correct and not offend minoroties. The norm As nature intended is to biologically reproduce and for this to occur naturally you need a male and a female, this is how our species evolved. We are basically intended by nature to reproduce as all life on the planet is, even a virus tries to reproduce and spread to survive. This would not get published in any Column today of course for fear of offending, and no offence is intended to any homosexual men or women on this forum. I see no reason why his oppinion should offend and not be published in his column though. Logan's run .. great bit of 70s sci fi, who remembers the series too? |

ooh Jenny Agutter...
As for the DM etc freedom of choice whether you read that shit or let it's opinion have an impact on your life. Same with advertisers, freedom of choice as to how they best leverage potential revenue from their target demographic. I care not a jot either way, for mr daley, but i wish him all the joy and happiness a small person can bring and at the same time people on twatter etc will continue to do what people on twatter do. And honestly, i'm still just thinking of Jenny Agutter, so reminds me of my history teacher in comp. Her breasts got me through education.

Hello everyone. I'm a straight, white, middle-class white man on a BMW forum. I'd just like to say from the outset, I'm definitely, definitely not prejudiced in any way. Apart from anything else, my self-image is that I'm a 'good person', so being prejudiced wouldn't fit with that.
I have absolutely no problem with (gay/black/muslim - delete as appropriate) people. Or women. Heck, I even know some. They are perfectly nice - just like me in fact. Everyone should just be equal. In fact they are, aren't they? As a white, middle-class, straight man, I am absolutely best placed to judge whether minorities are treated properly. What I can't stand, is when minorities say they actually don't get treated the same. It's unbelievably irritating. I can't bear it when a normal guy like Littlejohn can't say what we're all thinking without getting blasted for it. It's free speech right? But these people disagreeing with him (publicly! On social media!!) are really abusing that free speech. Where's the gratitude? They should be thankful, as a minority, to enjoy these rights. Just not to use them too much, or too loudly.

Mother Nature didn't give us wings, but we still used our human ingenuity to fly. So if that same ingenuity affords those with fertility issues the hope of having a family then are you suggesting that they shouldn't, or that it's wrong?

[/QUOTE] There is nothing wrong with not being able to reproduce naturally, many people have to use IVF etc, I am supporting this comment ... He wrote in his DM column that his ideal would for a happy female/male relationship to bring up sprogs (read the full content). I think all he was doing was confirming or highlighting basic human evolution. And most importantly, voicing his opinion based on his values and upbringing. ..that he was simply confirming or highlighting basic human evolution and his own oppinion based on his values and upbringing. Is it not basic human evolution that a male and female is required to produce a child (become parents naturally)? Oh yes ...Jenny Agutter in her prime Last edited by Hooded; 02-18-2018 at 10:13 AM.. |

You wouldn't breed an animal that had a known defect. To circumvent this by using medicine is not ideal for the above reasons, when you add emotion and peoples wants then all of the above changes. It's obviously very personal to a lot of people but my initial point is valid that in nature the weak don't survive or breed. Regarding flying, I appreciate that you wanted to be a pilot and ultimately failed but that's my point they only take the best the ones without defects. |

My wife had something that made her blood clot a little too much. She had to take a miniscule amount of aspirin to go from two miscarriages to a perfectly healthy little boy. What she has isn't hereditary, the boys can't get it and it can't be passed to future generations, so what was nature protecting? Oh hang on, before I walk into this, it might have been natures way of stopping me reproducing. |

Likewise if an infertile couple are perfectly healthy in every other way and they can't pass on the infertility, nature is protecting bugger all. Maybe we should all stop brushing our teeth and going to the dentist and die at 40 because we can't chew our food. All medicine prolongs life and increases the population, why single out infertility treatment?! |

If you can't have kids naturally without any medical help at all then it's natures way of saying it doesn't want you to have kids. I would say after that 100% perfect gene pool position there are degrees of how much does medicine intervene to allow a person to reproduce and at what point should medicine just stop as you are intervening too much |

Have you been to Wolverhampton? Been to East Anglia? If Mother Nature was really on the ball we would be due a cull about now. Unfortunately the average Chav will eat just about anything, this means they have a better chance of surviving, additionally they breed like fucking rabbits. I think the human gene pool is decided on who can shag the most, at the moment that's the great unwashed. We really need a passing asteroid to sort out the world. |

Amen to that. Fear not, the human race will cause its own extinction. Overpopulation for one thing. An ant colony maintains stability by considering the whole colony and not the individual. Does that make Ants cleverer than us?
