It was there 2 times and I explained to them exactly how/when it happens and they said they could not do it. After sending them the videos the shop Forman said O that looks like a fuel pump problem and they did a "fuel pressure test" and found out it was bad. I asked why it wasn't done the last 2 times and received no answer. I guess better late then never.

I just got mine back 3 days ago. I already had bought the lpfp parts and paid $300 in labor and got it replaced.

Car came back today turned out to be a low side pump. Was told that they put a pressure gauge on it and saw it drop when the car was off. Again asked why it wasn't done the other 2 times but was pushed off.

Car feels 100% better now. I was almost to the point of just putting the pump in my self but this was my last ditch.

Happy that this got resolved for you! Thanks for coming back and filling us in. That is super annoying, but at least you're good to go now.

Car went back again 2 lpfp changed in a month. I was running e40 but stopped doing that as well and now today running 93 for couple of days after a new pump got a hpfp code. No lights car drives fine but checked for codes anyways. Thinking of getting Bosch hpfp pumps and adapters from euroclasse but don’t know if anyone has already tried it and any feedback. Also is there a diy for hpfp bs going through dealer.

I’m wondering why all of a sudden the hpfp went bad. The issue for all of these has always been the lpfp. You changed that twice in a month and now it affected the hpfp to go bad? Does e40 have anything to do with creating the issue in the first place for both pumps?

Hpfp is fine I was just thinking of upgrading them as those are supposed to be weaker than lpfp but for now everything is on halt as central TX weather is 100 plus these days, so I wont be pushing the car. Also I’m running 93 and so far no issues.

I just DIY my LPFP on my X5M and it honestly wasn't hard at all. About $650 for the LPFP and a new gasket. The only special tool i got was the one to remove the locking ring but most people online just tap it with a hammer and screwdriver. I've never done fuel pumps before and it took me about 2 hours thats being uber careful and figuring out how it all went together. I could do it in half the time now.

This is the tool that worked on my F95

This video is helpful to explain the general idea of how to do it. Its not the same for our cars but very similar.

Also recommend you don't have much fuel in the tank. My car showed it only had 40 miles left of range and there was still a good amount in there i had to work through.
