Lol. - Because it is German, and they drank too many beers and therefore over engineered it to complicate it.

I know what you mean though my caddy I just set to auto @ 21 or 22 and it does everything including ac automatically.

Exactly what I think every time it frustrates me! Even my previous BMW knew that auto meant "auto" and not "auto but you still need to adjust 3 different things every time you get in the car."
