Any good DIY guides on installing the M-performance diffuser?

This would be for an LCI (not sure if things are different for a pre-LCI)

My BMW dealer only charged me for 30min labor for install. Definitely worth it over tearing the bumper cover off yourself.

Only the lower piece of the bumper needs to come off. I have done two of these on my pre-LCI and now my LCI. It’s very easy. The longest part of the process is removing bolts, clips, and then making sure all of the tabs for the diffuser are lined up. You remove and remount the diffuser with the lower bumper cover/trim piece off the car. With that being said if someone is only charging 30 minutes of labor for this job that sounds like a deal. Took me around 45-60 minutes each time.

Thanks all, I was finally able to figure it out. The evolve video helps with just understanding where/how to manipulate the tabs. I would say 45 min all in, with just a socket and a pry tool

I'd agree. The worst part was getting the tabs to release on the underside of the diffuser to remove the lower part of the bumper cover. Once those released, I was home free.

Hello All,

I am new to the forum, and wanted to ask if anyone knows how to wire up diffuser light to the braking light system on my 2018 BMW M5 F90. I have my new diffuser installed but not sure how to wire it up. Any help is heatedly appreciated.
Thanks.

It was straightforward. Should take you about 10 to 15 minutes to complete this job. Everyone here outlined the proper steps
