Snow Tires (lack of)

Are manufacturers steering away from dedicated snow/winter tires and choosing to go the all-season route? Not seeing many options, other than Pirelli. I have Michelin, which are in need of replacement this year.

Some have fitted square 275/35/20 snows to the started stock wheels. More options if not staggered.

The last 2 winters I have run AS4 in stock sizes on stock wheels. I have snow wheels as well but have not installed them the last 2 winters. I run PS4 late spring to early fall but they are losing traction in the cool weather now so I will swap to the AS4.

Tire Rack told me that Michelin winter tires for our cars were on back order and wouldn’t be available for 3 to 4 months. I went the dealer route and getting them installed tomorrow.

New winter shoes!

My dad changed to all season Michelin pilot sports and likes them so far. He does not have to drive in the snow as he is retired but that all seasons do the trick.

I will used dedicated snows always. I have to be able to get to work.

Have a 2018 and use stock 20" wheels in the winter. Finding snow tires was a major hassle, last winter. Search spanned 10 local business and then 38 websites and 1 month of time/effort. Finally sourced 2 fronts from Cosco and 2 slightly used rears from a private seller on eBay. Ridiculous. Went with Michelin Pilot Alpin PA4's all around. Didn't snow very much at all, after all that!
