LCI SHOCKS vs. 2019 SHOCK SWAP?
I understand the actual shock assembly was updated in 2021. I think there are some programming differences as well. I also think the valving would make more difference than the programming.
Has anyone done the swap and what were your impressions? I looked on BMWDirectParts.com and they are showing the same part number for both. I have a feeling BMW is only producing the later part now, which would explain that.

There is a member here who swapped and he said the difference is noticeable. I think Comp and non-Comp differ. I personally would go for the 2021 on Comp struts if I was changing. I will eventually either install those or KW V4 if I keep the car.
The guy who swapped did no programming changes. Just swapped in late Comp struts. |
