Engine or software problem f90
Dear M owners,
My name is Pim van Doorn from the Netherlands. I have a question about a malfunction of my 2019 m5 competition with 120,000 km on the odometer. The car has always been perfectly maintained and has been stage 2 with a catless downpipe. Now it is stock again, but still with a straight pipe akrapovic. When I read the car I get 2 error messages. 1 that the sensor of my downpipe is not good, even though I have written it out with the tune app mhd. There are probably 2 sensors, I think 1 is not right. And the 2nd fault is my crankshaft sensor. I often hear complaints about this. I have now replaced the crankshaft sensor and the message just came back after a few days. Now I don't mind this so much, but my car is acting very strange and no one knows what the problem is. If I use the auto brake boost or launch control, the engine cuts out above 2,000 revs. If I drive slowly and suddenly open the throttle, the car gives enormous jerks as if you briefly pressed the brakes. If I drive slowly or only accelerate at high speed, the car drives perfectly. So my question is do you know the problem and the solution? Crankshaft sensor has already been replaced original. I'm going to fix the downpipe sensor, but I don't think that's it. Would a new original BMW software help? I don't think it's a motor thing, but more the software. The car is stock again and that makes no sense, it was only on stage 2 for 5 months and was very well maintained. I'm pretty sure it's not the tune. I'd love to hear your thoughts. If you think you know, send me a private message or email pimvdoorn@outlook.com Thank you very much in advance!!! |
