2019 M5 with 41k miles. Ordered it in January 2019, arrived in April so I'm at year 5. Only issue has been the coolant expansion tank, which has been replaced under warranty and I monitor frequently. Amazing in the snow with Sottozeros. BMW extended warranty through 2026 and then I’m not sure what to do. Hesitant to own it out of warranty and drive it the way it’s meant to be driven. I love this car. It’s the most well-rounded car I’ve ever owned and think it will be tough to beat when it comes time to replace.

2018 M5, 54k miles, tuned since 24k miles, no issues. Replaced expansion tank as preventative maintenance and have done other maintenance and preventative maintenance. No repairs.

Other issues were ABS sensors, one of the soft close stopped working, and the air conditioning condenser High mileage S63s and S55/S58's engine never escape these issues here. B58 on the other hand is so freaking brilliant (once BMW learned to make it right) that many run stage 2 tunes with mileage upwards of 100k with no issues here. |

43K or so on a 2020 base. Daily driver - probably the best I've ever had. Bulletproof. No rattles. Frankly amazing.
Which brings up a question I've been wrestling with lately - what to do with it long-term? The roads here in Texas continue to get worse. I'm thinking of going back to an SUV, but keeping the trusty M5 for a couple reasons. First - I just can't seem to part with it. It's just so much fun. Second - and this is where your thoughts are coveted - as the last fully ICE version of the M5, I'm thinking maybe there's some long-term value there? What say you? |

I have no interest in buying the new heavy hybrid M5 that comes out. |

2020 M5C, 23k miles. Pretty much a daily other than family road trips. Love every mile.

2019 M5C - 52k
Owned for just on 9 months. - Replaced 2 x rims due to hitting road debris - Replaced aircon Condenser (dash out job and 5k) - Replaced 4 x injectors and coils chasing a misfire (2.5k) - Waiting on engine rebuild as failed leak down test (~20k) Still love her but she's stretching the friendship! Lesson learnt for not taking out extended warranty on purchase! |

I have 76k on a 2019. Been Stg 2 for almost 50k of those. This thing has been great and I do not baby it. It gets tracked, drag raced, road tripped, and is an absolute beast in the worst of winter conditions.
Regular maintenance and one reservoir replacement. I have a RK billet reservoir ready to go in. |

Pretty low miles all around. My 2021 has 33k miles. I just got it a few weeks ago, but I expect to put on at least 6-8k miles per year going forward. Looks like it was mostly highway miles in the past given the pretty high average speed since new.

Replacing my Michelins like for like with new Michelins was a night and day difference. Didn't realise how bad the fronts were with some chunks of rubber missing from the outside edge. Got 4 wheel alignment done.
2019 29k miles here, just coolant tank done. Burns no oil at all and does get driven hard. Oil service just done BMW said rear diff, front diff and transfer case fluid all needed changing, which was sooner than I expected |

There is a maintenance book with your owner’s manual. The intervals are based on mileage OR oil changes, so those of you who don’t drive much are still being asked to change fluids based on the minimum yearly oil change interval. Summarized below:
Engine oil - Yearly or every 10,000 miles Cabin air filter - Every other oil change or 20,000 miles Engine air filter - Every 3rd oil change or 30,000 miles Spark Plugs - Every 3rd oil change or 30,000 miles Front &rear diff fluid - Every 5th oil change or 50,000 miles |
