Preconditioning
Hi all, is there a way to remote start the car from the key fob? I’m stuck with a loaner i4 for a while and it won’t let me use the app because it’s a fleet vehicle.

Only other way to do it is program the departure time, should be under precondition menu in the car. |

No, but you can use your phone or Apple Watch if you have one to manually start preconditioning from outside the car.

So did you try this? Would work if you leave at the same time every day... Not going to be useful if you want to do it at some random time.

done it many times actually. even old none-EV BMWs have this option. Yes ideally your departure time should be consistent but if you're off by 5-10mins still works fine.
