Advice on m5 (My differences / must have options)
Hi
Shopping for a preowned f90 - need some help as follows: what the major differences were between the years? Also What what would you say are the must have options?

2018 M5 "base" only
2019 same as 2018, but added competition model 2020 same as 2018 and 2019, but idrive/guages are updated 2021 first year of "LCI", mostly aesthetics, bumpers, headlights/tailights, interior bits and pieces are updated, suspension update, are the main things, but the car is pretty much the same, will be a subjective choice if you like the LCI better or not. 2022 same as 2021, added "CS" model 2023 same as 2021-22. No 2024 model 2025 will be g90 new M5. Must have options are specific to you and what you want. I have 2019 comp with pretty much every option besides Carbon Ceramic brakes, which I wish I had. But thats because of the brake dust and noise the steel brakes make. I have BW sound, which is a must if you're a sound system person. I think it's probably 80/20 maybe 90/10 in favor of NO sunroof. Sunroof option is generally seen as a negative. Executive package is pretty common most builds will have it. Soft close doors, heated vented ,massaging seats, 3D camera with surround, some other safety bits and pieces, but thats mostly it. Competition model 2019+ will get more power, lower suspension, little louder exhaust, black trim pieces, couple other minor things standard on comp like the striped seat belts, but a lot of base have them also. Most people want the BW, executive pack, comp pack, at minimum. That should about do it. But if not, a website like this I found from a google search will spell it out more thoroughly... https://machineswithsouls.com/2023/0...-buyers-guide/ |
