2019 BMW M5 Carplay Coding
Hello everyone,
I had fullscreen Carplay coded in my 2019 BMW M5 via Bimmercode and OBD Link MX+ with no issues. However, I recently had my gauge cluster replaced by the BMW dealership which wiped out my coding and some other headunit settings. When I went to code the fullscreen Carplay again, I received an error stating "Error while reading coding data" when I clicked into the headunit module. Does anyone have any pointers on how I can fix this issue? Thanks in advance! |

I have a '19 too. When I brought my car in for display unit crack, my SA upgraded my idrive to the lastest update, which has carplay in full screen that preciously did not. So it might be worth it for you to have them upgrade your Idrive so you dont have to deal with it again.

Hey yes, I reached out to Bimmercode support directly from the app and they were able to walk me through downloading a beta version of the app.
When I tried coding the headunit through the beta version, it worked fine. |

If it’s easy enough to explain how they showed you how to download the beta version let me know |
