Windshield Cowl Panel Cover deformed
My M2 is almost 3 years old (July 2019).
The windshield cowl panel cover is warped and the gasket does not compress well on the windshield . In 4 places it stays raised about 1mm . I have disassembled and reassembled is checked for proper fitment . It just seems to have waved . I will evaluate the purchase of the replacement (cost about 60 €) , I do not like that water can infiltrate . Am I the only one in this situation ? |

In the US that would be a warranty item.

My rubber on the cowl is warped like this too along with the cowl being pretty faded.
Does anyone know if the rubber part is included with the cowl #1 in this link? I can’t tell if #14 is what I need too? getbmwparts.com/v-2019-bmw-m2--competition--3-0l-l6-gas/body--cowl Forum keeps changing the link and making it not work. So sceeenshots attached too Car is a 2019 so it’s out of warranty and I’d like to replace this myself. ***The part Number in the screenshot is INCORRECT for my 2019 m2, Getbmwparts correct it when I submitted my order with vin. 51-71-8-073-545 Windshield Cowl Panel Cover Part 1 (VIN CORRECTED) Last edited by Cboy; 04-13-2023 at 03:26 PM.. |

Real oem is much better site for finding parts..
https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/sho...diagId=51_9563 Looks like parts 1 & 11 are separate. Often that panel is removed for service work and not fitted back properly or carefully. Maybe take it all off, clean it up, use a plastics restorer or similar to get it black again. Make sure all the fixings are there and see if that works..
