Out of curiosity what do they go for in the US?

Also is the US pricing the same as Canadian and South American?
Or is is cheaper to cross the border in a particular direction?

Quite an impressive feat!
Car is a 2019 with 23k on it and a decent spec too.

Car was purchased for just shy of £19k.
Parts and labor and all other associated costs came to just over £30k.

Two man dedicated team on mechanical took 18 hours (not a fixed price here due to the nature of the job so cost was based on people and hours.)
One man dedicated to body work 4.5 days at 8 to 9 hours a day. (Price for bodywork was fixed and agreed at start.)

So the car was circa £50k for him all in.

Bare in mind at the time in the UK, they were starting at £55k for a straight car.
Subsequently since then the market has cooled a bit and they are starting at around £48k now. (I don't see them dropping too much more any time soon, but who knows!)
Wow, that makes this even more impressive! Thanks for filling us in!

Insurance paid $60k to fix my Trackhawk rather than totaling it with similar damage.

Gentlemen.
If I had a buck for every time I have heard someone from “across the pond” say something like that, well you know where I am going with this.

There is a threshold in the UK that they use to decide if the car will be a total loss or a write off as we call it here.

I believe if the value of the repairs, rental cars, legals, etc. exceeds more than 30% or 35% of the value of the car then it is written off.

You dont see many Jeeps on the roads in the UK and Trackhawks are even more rare as the UK was only allocated 20 of them.
I would imagine being so rare in the UK and with availability of parts and authorised garages being scarce that in the UK they would be written off for the very lightest of damage.

Being more common in the US, they are probably alot easier and cheaper to repair and I would imagine the threshold to write them off would be a lot higher.

Looks like a home run! Love seeing a BMW being revived, no matter the model. This one, given all the systems was no small feat. Great work!!

Much respect and admiration for the effort/expense pour into this, but to me a car that has had that much damage will never ever be the same no matter how much care and attention to detail you put into the repairs.

It is a branded car for ever. But whatever floats your boat. Enjoy.
