car washing before PPF vs after PPF

I received some great tips on car washing on this forum, before PPF. Now that I have PPF, does anything change? Perhaps the PPF makes car washing easier? Can I just take the car through any random hand wash place and trust that they can't possible mess it up because it's protected?

Hand wash is fine. I'd always avoid pressure washing or powered brush car washes because of the risk of peeling the edges. I'd use a coating of carpro reload every 6 weeks or so after a wash to keep it slick and easy to clean. Prevents stuff from bonding to it, although it can be polished gently just like clear coat if needed to remove stuff that's really stuck to it.

I have a full ppf on the entire car, amd I use an electric power washer. I stand a few feet back and use a foam cannon.

PPF doesn't change how you wash the car, or what products you would normally use.

As for how you wash, that's up to you. Hand wash at home with the two bucket method is what I do, or I have a good detailer do it. I avoid hand wash car washes and drive throughs, as the towels get re-used over and over, and the power washers use recycled water, which picks up dirt over time and just sandblasts the car.

I would refer to the manufacture's recommendation and go with that.

Power washing is perfectly fine on a car with PPF. Hand wash only and for quicker and easier washing, best to coat the PPF with Cquartz or another product similar.

It's fine if you stay back and spray perpendicular to the surface just to rinse, but if you got too close at the wrong angle, you could lift an exposed edge. Just don't expect pressure washing alone to clean it very well.
