Here is a guide how to avoid any errors or blinking after start:
1) Update software to 03-2021 2) Add HELC to HO-WORT 3) Code BDC module 4) Make some changes manually (bimmercode can do this too): BL_L_CCM: ccm_346 [01 5A] BL_L_IS_LED: nicht_aktiv, default [00] BL_L_MIN_PWM: 5% [05] BL_L_WARMUEBERWACHUNG: nicht_aktiv [00] BL_R_CCM: ccm_345 [01 59] BL_R_IS_LED: nicht_aktiv, default [00] BL_R_MIN_PWM: 5% [05] BL_R_WARMUEBERWACHUNG: nicht_aktiv [00] That is it! |

I asked the local authorised dealer about the retrofit. They ordered the kit and installation is booked for week 27.
The price they are asking is decent, because if there would be any problems later on they can't say that I've made some diy tuning that is not official. And when the time comes to sell the car I'm sure the next guy will appreciate the official upgrade. |

Labor is ~500 EUR (I have old i-step so I would need to pay 200 EUR just for the i-step update) From my point of view the difference is ~200 EUR in parts and ~300 EUR in labor. No risk and no hazzle |

Anyone had the software update done?
Also curious if we can work around this without the update. Someone posted this coding using March 2021 software: Here is a guide how to avoid any errors or blinking after start: 1) Update software to 03-2021 2) Add HELC to HO-WORT 3) Code BDC module 4) Make some changes manually (bimmercode can do this too): BL_L_CCM: ccm_346 [01 5A] BL_L_IS_LED: nicht_aktiv, default [00] BL_L_MIN_PWM: 5% [05] BL_L_WARMUEBERWACHUNG: nicht_aktiv [00] BL_R_CCM: ccm_345 [01 59] BL_R_IS_LED: nicht_aktiv, default [00] BL_R_MIN_PWM: 5% [05] BL_R_WARMUEBERWACHUNG: nicht_aktiv [00] That is it!
