Had the Eisenman Race exhaust on the X5M, essentially the same motor, and it sounds perfect when its warmed up and driving pretty aggressive. Start up on the race is literally like a pack of wolves fighting. My whole neighborhood knew i was heading to work. My neighbors were probably planning my demise lol. It set off car alarms everywhere i went. It even made the plastic parts on the X5M rattle. But with spirited driving, all that was forgotten because it sounded so damn good!
If I were to do it over again, or even for my new M5, I'd go for the valved exhaust to control the rattling and start up noise. Only because the Race attracted too much attention and created chaos. |

I have Eisenmann race exhaust and it's loud on cold start and it dose sets alarm ( every ones in a while ) on M240 that's parked next to me. But I do want to remove cold start.
I had one Akrapovic and 5 Eisenmann exhaust's and to be honest both are great. Mine first exhaust was Eisenmann in Germany on 323TI and I have fall in love with them ever sense

FYI you won't have valves on race version. I did add down pipes and tune. On tune I added extra burble and boy it's more then twice as much

I've had both the Eisenmann race exhaust and the performance exhaust. The race is EXTREMELY LOUD. and very droney. veryyy droney. I now have the performance. No drone at all, not crazy loud, but good enough. Remember what I'm telling you is based off my car which is practically straight piped. |

Honestly, I'd go with performance and slap some downpipes on it. I'm scared to get downpipes now on my race for being too loud. When I had the performance it was too quite for me, just wished that I would do tried downpipes first
