The screen mirroring is only for Android or jailbreaked iPhone.

It is cool, but useless since you'll still have to control it via the phone itself.

I wouldn't call it useless. I played movies on it while we were on a long road trip and the kids enjoyed seeing it and hearing it through the car speakers. A lot easier than holding up the phone while everyone was looking at it.

Yes, the mirroring part is cool.
But the fact that I still have to grab the phone to control it, it is a bit disappointing.

It is tied to profile settings. So, unless you are changing keys and profile, it should remain set.
