so it's basically a 114 car for 1815 a month? Hard pass. And why are they changing their numbers on you?

Yes exactly... The sales guy thought I was doing $2900 down PLUS a monthly payment, doc fees, and registration fees, when I clearly told him I wanted $2900 drive off from the start...

First time leasing a vehicle and I have a question regarding the $5k lease credit. Does that credit get applied after the negotiated price of the car or is it usually lumped in? My goal is to get 10% off MSRP should I expect to get that then an additional $5k credit?

Thanks!

I would shoot for 10% off MSRP plus the additional $5K in lease credit. Cap Cost will be MSRP- Discount- $5K. This assumes you're not including anything additional cost (port installed options etc.) into the price of the car (MSRP+).

Thanks for the the response. It is an incoming car to the dealer with all the options I wanted. Ill shoot for what you mentioned. The SA seems to be on the ball and easy to work with.

Worst that can happen is they say no but why not try.

$9K off of MSRP. They're potentially covering my last two payments on the X6M of $1284/month - depending on their assessment of it's condition, so if they do, it'll be another 2500 discount.

Damn...1700 a month...for an m5. That's a mortgage right there. I love m5s...but these prices are ridiculous. I am truely surprised folks are still willing to lease m5s with such prices. Im not counting anyone's money...its just these monthly prices are absurd. My f10 m5 lease is maturing in Dec, and i would love to get another m5 or an e63s. But, not with current state.

the car is still "new" in regards to it's lifespan, so naturally the residual will be poor. I leased my 2016 f10 towards the end of it's production, with a 66% resdidual,my payment was 1200, and car was 120k. Just the way things are.

Yeah, it has 55% residual. I know BMW has been adjusting their residuals lately to be more realistic and in-line with MB. You're going to be hard pressed finding an e63s with a much better residual. Especially, late in the model year.

So the latest on the deal is:
- they're going to pay off the last two payments, $2568 (check to me).
- $1,626/month and $3,171 due at signing to cover first payment acquisition fee, and lic/reg.

Seems reasonable to me.

E63s has always had poor residual value hysterically. I would love to lease one...but.

So you don't think the f90 will have better residuals as the year winds down in December and dealers want to get rid of 2019 models or whatever is on the lot?

Residuals typically get worse as the model year ages, but they incentivize by lowering the MF (interest rate) and they also discount heavily, so sometimes it works out.
The 2020s should have a better residual but you'll probably see higher MFs and less discounting.

After having experienced an M car (f10 m5) it will be difficult to go "down" to something more affordable. My lease is over in Dec...so now im not sure which car i can lease that's close or equal to an M car. Not feeling the current m3 and 4, i had the 435 and hated the interior, so not planning getting into an m3/4 especially since new one is out next year.

My wife took her Volvo XC90 in for service at local dealership. We have gotten 3 cars from them. I of course approached my CA when I wanted this M5 comp. He offered 4.5 % citing that since I was a return customer he could be "aggressive!"
I kept my poker face and remained cordial not believing what I was hearing. I got 10% on my custom order elsewhere.
Needless to say my previous CA grilled my wife on what I was up to and was upset when my wife informed him my car was sailing past Puerto Rico as we speak!
I live in a small community and there are M models on that damn lot from 2018 !! I don't get these guys sometimes...but so happy for what I found. I'll go back to the guy and maybe on the 4th transaction we can cut to the quick on the numbers and not waste each others time.
