Good race, but I'd take the Aston over it any day.

Plus it leases cheaper for you out there looking to get a 170k car for less than an M5 payment (or equal).

Yup. That is a win. Love the Aston though. It's too bad they still have so many quality control issues. Such a beautiful car. Matt Farah tested one and the gap seams were so back - you could stick an iphone edge in between them.

This is so true... I have a buddy of mine and his brand new DB11 is about $1800 a month

It's not true, if you can find one that lists for 177k, the lease "special" is 5k down 1600 per month including tax for 2500 miles per year. Most vantages in the US are 190k or more msrp. If you want 12k miles per year your payment approaches 3k per month. The DB11 special is 1800 per month for 35k down 2500 miles per year

1. This is more a tongue in cheek statement... We get it's more money down, less miles a year, etc etc, just for shits and giggles a DB11 can be had for less than what some people are paying for a F90 comp...

2. I forgot what my second point was because I'm more annoyed with myself that I have to explain this was merely a funny anecdote if you will lol...

My buddy just test drove the vantage and raved about the sound and fun it created. Of course its not going to be faster than the M5 but its a hell of a looker for the price (yeah 2500 miles a month is not gonna work for most) and it has that brilliant sounding AMG 4.0 M178 engine in it. Its a great option for a GT cruiser with a higher msrp. Its a lease so your warranty will cover any perceived issues.

But the factory has highly subvented these cars (Ally is the lessor) with huge rebates to get the payment as advertised. Being a reasonably smart car guy I will guess once one leases this car they will be stuck with it to term as getting out early will have a very low ACV. And as soft as an F90 is in the used market, any car that starts at 180k msrp or higher with this much factory input will get hurt. The key will be in getting the net cap of the cost even lower than advertised which means getting into the dealer holdback.

I would buy the Vantage in a heartbeat with this current lease condition (way too cheap). I love Astons, and Astons are always fun dynamically, they can set up a car very nicely for a good mix between comfort and handling. It is one of my all time favourite brands. It is a pity they don't sell in Brazil.

The Vantage is also a looker. Definitely a p... magnet, especially compared to the M5.

It is a car which is more of a fun weekend vehicle than a commuter. To my eyes a 2500 miles lease makes sense. I have had cars I have driven less than that in 2 years.

If you want it for commuting though you can get a larger miles package and I bet the lease will still be similar to that of a M5 Comp.

the lease for a 12k miles per year is $2988.00 plus tax for 36 months with 5k out of pocket and you're stuck in the car for 3 years. just wait a year and buy one with 1500 miles for 115k. My V12 Vantage S had an MSRP of 235k and I bought it brand new (2016 model) in 2018 for 140k. The problem with the current car is the Vantage S is on the way and eventually the 12 cylinder, both will blow away the base model in style and performance

So the Vantage lease is to drive the car a little less than 7 miles per day for the year. I understand if people have money to burn and own numerous vehicles, but spending 18k a year not to drive the vehicle is well..........

2500 miles per year is fkn pointless. It's Like a frequent traveler comparing a single private jet charter vs 25 flights of first class per year.

After enjoying your Aston for a couple months you get to stare at it in the garage for the rest of the year.

Don't worry, even at those lease terms you'll still be able to buy it out at the end for 20% more than it's worth! Joking aside, it is beautiful.
