Looks like you have 3 target shopping cars stalking your car in that first pic. You're a brave person parking that close to them!!

My Friend, I need to give you some BMW parking advice. Firstly you did not centre the car between the yellow lines, which means that, had someone parked on your drivers side they would have hit your ride. Furthermore, that is the wrong spot to part in. You should have parked in the spot with the curb (next spot over to the drivers side), and hug the curb, thus allowing, the next idiot driver more room to open a door in the next parking spot. And finally always, always back up in a parking spot, that is the BMW way. Parking class session is now complete |

marcvtec, my friend, that curb is higher than standard curbs and I'm not on or over the yellow line, but I appreciate your concern! Plus, when you're in the back of a parking lot towards closing time, I don't think there's such thing as a "bad" spot.

I refer you to page 2
I should've elaborated a little... The PPF and ceramic took place mid-December (pg. 2) but it's only been washed once since then on January 4. Pretty crazy how clean it has stayed. Last edited by windtendo; 01-28-2019 at 09:24 AM.. |

Got a special delivery today! Thanks Ryan at IND for getting them to me so fast! They’re gloss black and I requested them be ceramic coated for an extra layer of protection and gloss. They feel really nice in hand, and can’t wait to install tomorrow!
On another note, it was raining today here in Houston. Ben w/ RGsport helped code some things for me which really makes some of the annoying quirks with the car a thing of the past... After getting rained on I pulled back in the garage. Wanted to share with anyone on the fence with ceramic coating their car. This is what you can expect after a full month of not washing. The water is still beading up on the hood. It literally looks cleaner now actually because the water droplets absorbed the film of dust barely hanging on. |

Installed the paddles on Friday and I couldn't be happier! They match the gloss black trim that accompanies the aluminum carbon structure dark interior. Looks more like OEM+ now which is what I'm going for. Even for having large hands I felt like the paddles were not a comfortable size and distance from my finger tips, and these feel just right.
As for the installation, I had the hardest time finding the airbag spring on each side... Like VERY hard. It took 1.5-2 hours before almost giving up. I tried using a T25, T27, and hex key with no luck. Then I switched to the flat head provided in the trunk toolkit. Pulled it out of the handle so I had a long skinny piece to work with. Within 5-10 minutes with the flat head I found the spring on the left side. Same results on the right side. Do yourself a favor and use the flat head for God's sake. |

Are you asking where do I go for washing? Since I've only washed twice now, just to Vive here in Houston. They hand wash and also did all of the coating and PPF work. Any swirls will be on them! They said if I wanted to use a machine it's totally fine, as long as it's a TOUCH-FREE machine wash and make sure they don't include any "shine enhancer" products to the wash (usually advertised). These can damage/wear the ceramic coating.

My apology for not able to get back to you as fast. Just be careful when using flat head, since the hole is covered up by leather, it may get damaged with sharp edge of the flat screwdriver. I personally used 10mm, 4" long screw that I found in my stash of home audio system. I believe it was Bose speaker wall mount screw.

Ahh we have another sneaker head in the building!
On another note, I got to see these beauties up close and personal last Friday while my car was getting it's second wash... Last edited by windtendo; 02-06-2019 at 07:46 PM.. |
