I appreciate all your answers - running out of time to find something suitable. We barely get any snow here so whatever I pick will not see much - maybe once or twice a year in January/February - but the Pirelli summers get so hard when temps are under 40.
- I'll have these on tomorrow, and I normally dont see much snow and if I do the roads are cleared very fast. I mainly got these for cold weather performance.

For winter tires you'll never notice the difference between a W and a V rated snow tire, unless you plan on overheating them by driving 150+ for long distances. Worrying the compound wont be up to your performance standards because its a lower speed rating is highly unlikely. I run RE-71R on our dedicated track car, they are pretty much the fastest non R compound tire you can run (rules require us use certain tires). They are V rated and mop the floor with W rated tires all day long. So unless you're Randy Pobst trying to squeeze out very last tenth I'm sure you'll be totally fine.

I'd order a set before they sell out, $155 is an amazing deal. - and if you hate them after a season sell them and I doubt you'll lose much at all.

You convinced me - I just placed an order for them to be shipped directly to my local dealer for installation Hopefully they will install them even if they don't match the OEM. Will see how it goes!

If not find a good performance shop that works on high end cars, thats what I did as the dealer near me takes too long.

Yeah, I couldn't refuse couple months ago.
I better spend the money on new rims and tires for performance

Not at all.
I stopped yesterday on middle of mine driveway which had 9% pitch and, it had about 1" snow on it. Start driving up hill and didn't see traction light on
Gripes like crazy, more then happy.
I made a video that I might post
Awesome! I just ordered a set. Thanks for the help.

Nice!!
I must have missed the rebate part. Lol
You gone love them.
I don't drive much in winter, so I didn't see a need for whole new set and spend 3-4K
Can't wait to get a nice set for Spring

Thanks! So you got the closeout sale V rated ones for $155 each? Or the W?

Any other changes you noticed with the bigger width such as any rubbing, steering heavy etc.? I know the diameter difference is only 1% so the rest should be fine but also unsure about going all the way down to V speed rating.

I appreciate all your answers - running out of time to find something suitable. We barely get any snow here so whatever I pick will not see much - maybe once or twice a year in January/February - but the Pirelli summers get so hard when temps are under 40.
I'm sorry I didn't see your post sooner. I did the sottozero 2 in front (275) and 3 in the rear (285). We already had our first snow storm and I am completely happy with the performance.

Nice, I more then happy for winter, besides they clean the roads pretty good.
I don't see go all out on expensive set, I rather buy new wider set for summer

Thanks - what were you guys running on summer tires for comparison? I have been doing 32 front / 33 rears which was giving me the best comfort for daily driving in 70+ temps.

Tire rack guy is asking me to confirm I want 285 squares as it isn't recommended. Certain there are no issues with this on a M5C?

At the same time, he says Sotto 2 and Sotto 3 are not compatible.

Why so complicated!? grrr...
