How's the ride with H&R? I am thinking about going this route rather than waiting for the M Performance version.

I have been been able to put a few more miles on and the ride is very comparable to stock. I would have a tough time discerning the difference even though I didnt drive the car alot on the stock springs. I usually drop my cars further but I think Ill be ok with the H&R's plus spacers.

These are pics pre spacers and I will be adding 15mm fronts and 12mm rears in the next few days:

I have used spacers on so many of my more recent rides with the advent of better looking forged wheels (not the boat anchors here) with zero issues. Its all in the proper hub sizing and correct length bolts and a good shop that can confirm a hubcentric application.

On a side note: my camera went blank today--- the sensors still work but no camera pic. Anyone have this happen to them?

Added some boring interior shots to the first page too:

This is why buying first model year of a car is scary... gremlins pop up that they iron out by second year....

yeah, on my E63S I had zero issues while a few Benz guys had some big ones... this is a simple fix Ill bet but the time to go the dealer, loaner, paperwork, etc is the issue.

Yeah Eric does all my cars that need spacers- in this case I already have the 15/12 from the E63S which will transfer over. The bolts will not as I need 14x1.25 for the BMW.

Vic55, your car looks great. One thing of concern is lowering the car, I don't know if I would do that driving in N.Y. with carstops, potholes and driving up a driveway. It seems very low to begin with. These things don't concern you?

Good question, here where I live I dont have such issues and the drop on this exact car is pretty conservative. Good road quality is key of course. Based on this platform (F90)- I actually think the car sits rather high compared to my 2 prior F10 M5's pre lowering. The front and rear fascia is not hanging over; the rear is almost too high and takes away from the aggressive nature it should have.

Both my GTS's (Porsche and AMG) are much lower- angle'ing in and out of driveways is still not too difficult.

Vic any suggestions for washing matte paint? I heard some people don't even use soap they just use water and a micro fiber mitt.

Love Carmine!!

I had a 991.1 GTS briefly and the front end dragged everywhere around my parts! Thankfully it's easily replaceable.

Congrats Vic! Car looks great! You've always had great taste in cars. And the fact that you regard the 2002 M5 as one of the best makes you OK my book! Haha!

I use Dr Beasleys--- and water. Thats pretty much it.

They have a great line of products but I just need the soap and touch up spray (cleanser)

I do use the front axle lift from time to time with this car....

And with my 991.1 GT3 I had the lift as well. I love the FAL from Porsche, its so fast.
