No, it was not. Interesting question though.

Service done today.
I made sure that the dealer had everything needed 2 weeks before. Everything is fine EDIT : BMW made a recall for the antenna. Apparently , the join needs to be replaced. Last edited by Alberta; 06-29-2018 at 06:43 AM.. |

Confirmed from the new M5 manual posted here, the front differential volume is 0.6 liters. Funny the PDF did not list a volume for the Rear Differential?

G1 vs. G2 vs. G4
Hi All,
I have a First Edition. Just went through hell trying to get the break-in service done (they didnt have the oil even after I told them what to get) only to find out they used G1 and G2, not G2 and G4. Do any of you have any idea what the difference is in the oils? I am going to take it back and have them put the right stuff in, but just curious what the impact of the wrong oil might be... Thanks! Just had my 1200 service done. I asked multiple times if they had the correct fluids in stock. They verified they did have enough for 1 car so we were good to go c
Just got the car back with the service order and looks like they used G4 & G1!! Based on others in here...looks like G2 should have been used. Can anyone who has had their service completed confirm? If so, should I be giving them a call and get this fixed or is it not a big difference? |
