Possible to special request "Sakhir Orange" (aka red) interior on a new F90 M5?
One of the biggest gripes I have with the F90 M5 is that they removed the "Sakhir Orange" (aka red) interior option that they offered with the earlier F10.
I've read other threads saying that if you're willing to pay the price, BMW can generally provide you with whatever custom EXTERIOR paint color you want (providing that it was a previous BMW release color, etc). That got me thinking... if I were to custom order, do you think BMW would allow me to get a new F90 M5 with the beautiful red "Sakhir Orange" color? |

I bet it’s possible but it will cost a fair amount.
I saw another thread here where someone was quoted $20k for Fiona Red on the F90. I was quoted similar for Black/ Lemans 2 tone interior. |

On top of the fact that you were allowed to order any color BMW makes for free on M8 GC. Any color
Don't know if they're still running that promotion

The 8 is dead man walking. Not sure why they keep trying to produce vehicles in that segment, it never works out for BMW.
Personally would much rather they work on a true 911/AMG GT competitor. Imagine and M4 size vehicle with a lower COG, the S65 motor, 50/50 weight balance and a 3300 lb curb weight Would happily pay $125-150K for such a beast as long as it wasn't a dressed up M4 variant. |
