Tyre pressure
Guys, on my M5 the BMW recommended tyre pressure is written on door sil.
What I am not sure if this tyre pressure recommended is cold and in garage level or the running condition pressure When I push my car tyre gets warm and tyre pressure increases. so what level of tyre pressure shall I maintain? Thanks |

Interesting point I found was, as you drive and your tires warm up and the PSI gets higher - so does the I drive recommended tire pressure.
It started at 34 then got to 40+ in the system. |

Go off the in car pressure monitor instead as it adjusts with heat. I run 33/34 cold usually, it's fine on the road. I wouldn't want to run any more, it's a heavy car and when pushing you get quite a bit of fluctuation in pressure. The temp and pressure gauge is surprisingly accurate in the car, my temp gun is usually displaying exactly what the in car gauge displays. If you are really pushing hard and it's warm I'd even be tempted to drop to 28f/30r and 24f/26r on a circuit.

I settle for 2.8 in all 4 tyres. That works on Swiss road.
Waiting for mountain passes to open, Grimsel & Furka pass are due open next Friday, looking forward to it. If you see a snapper rocks M5 in Switzerland, it would be me. My M5 is the only M5 with snapper rocks in whole Swiss. |
