Hey, just wanted your opinions.
I am thinking of tinting my back window. Just the back window. Has anyone done that before. How does it look.... mineral white with sahkir orange interior.

Probably to show off the SO interior.

I think tinting only the rear would look cool. It'll look like the rear window is an extension of the roof.

IMO, you should tint all around and roll down your windows when you want to show off the interior. First, it will decrease the heat that's in your car and two, I think you will have the best of both worlds.

50% tint will look nice and not be so dark the police will really have an issue with it. you will also get the benefit of cutting the heat down in the car and fading of the seats

I too have been considering only doing the back window only. 5% super black. My track car is setup this way because its so low any standard ride height car blinds me through the rear view mirror, which is not as big a deal in the M since it has the tinted mirror but still. I suggest starting with the back window and seeing if you like. If you don't you can always go back and have the rest of the car done.

Go with the back and then maybe do a lighter tint on the side windows? Ie 15 on the rear and 35-50 on the sides?

Have rear tints (rear half) on my MW F80 M3. Guessing your referring though to just rear window.

Don't have many photos on work PC but gives rough idea. All be it my car no longer looks like this shows how they look on an OEM MW M3

Dont do it. It looks really out of place and doesn't flow well at all. If you are going to tint you need to do the all the windows, I even do a slight tint on the windshield for uniformity

This, IMO, only back windows tinted makes the car look ugly/weird. Either tint them all or don't. Just my 2 cents worth. Take it or leave it

Honestly no offence taken be boring world if all had same taste, respect for speaking your mind I'd say 90% of cars in UK and Europe (Mercedes, BMW, Audi, Range Rover) all come now with the rears tinted as standard so for me it's just the norm and same as any other similar marquee vehicle.

As it's so common here I guess I find those which aren't ugly looking because when you view cars in this country you can't see through the car, if you look through the front or rear.

As said European countries it's the norm over here. As said not just BMW's but most car companies straight out the factory.

True I've seen Mercedes cars like that also tinted from the factory.

I guess it's a matter of personal preference

cheers mate

You just restated what I had stated...Lol. Again, I think you should tint "all" the windows and roll down the fronts when you want people to see you or the uber nice interior.
