Congrats on the new addition. I totally relate to your statements about the F80/82 platform. I never truly enjoyed mine either, even after multiple attempts with different setups/cars. My F90 is probably my favorite BMW that I have owned to date.

CS is only available in DCT
BMW really did a fantastic job on the CS .. almost improved every aspect of the car in regard to driving experience my base 2015 felt jumpy , CS is well dampened and the tuning on the engine is great and linear.. also it is super fast , it feels like 500 plus HP |

Congrats on the new ride. I'm partial to that combo. Can't go wrong with the CCBs. Did you already tint your windows? What%.

Congrats! I love the color combo and build. I'll be trading in my M4 soon for an M5 (kid on the way- need the room). E92 M3 was my favorite M in the last decade or so to come out. However I love my F82- I was hesitant with the exit of the V, but very happy with my 5 years of ownership.
What did you dislike about the M4 that was voided with the addition of the M5?

my biggest gripe with the F80 was the sound. I thought I would learn to like it, but I never did. even the MPE seemed to take a naturally harsh sound and just amplify it rather than change it. that's a big part of the experience of sports cars for me, so while it might seem trivial, that alone was enough to make me move on to another car sooner than expected. my other issues were the 6MT (as I described above) and the suspension tuning. when I moved on to the GT4, I was shocked at how a car that rides objectively firmer can somehow be less harsh. it's tough to describe, but over sharp bumps in the road, the F80 didn't seem to be able to absorb them very well. the F90 definitely solves all three of those complaints for me. the ride seems to have struck a great balance between comfort and handling, the ZF8 trans is a perfect match for the car and the motor, and the V8 sounds much better than the I6 did, even if it is a quieter (which can be easily fixed, but not sure if I'll do any exhaust mods though - maybe I'm getting old, but I'm liking it so far). when you add on top of that the interior, B&W speakers, and the effortless power, it feels like an amazing car for the money. |

unfortunately Porsche softened their MT with the new .2 GT3
anxious to see how 718 GT4 feels , but i am afraid will be similar to GT3 the best feeling MT at present is the lotus evora 400 IMO, but have to tolerate all the other quirks with the car |
