Sirius Satellite radio + service bulletins?

Hey there fellow E90 freaks!

Is anyone else having horrible Sirius reception? It has gotten so bad in the last month or so, that I find myself playing more and more CDs, and GASP....the radio

I hate like hell to have to take it to the dealership and drop it off for Satellite radio, but it just plain sucks.

On an average 10-15 min drive, I would easily say 5 mins of that is just silence, in and out/choppy music and sometimes silence with "acquiring service" displayed.

Does anyone know of a service bulletion to address this problem? I find that if I tell my SA that there is a service bulletin (so sad that we have to do this)...I have a better chance of the problem getting resolved.

no problems here, mine never cuts out for more than a second or two and it's always at the same spots (I can predict when it'll cut out)

That's funny, just yesterday and today I was commenting on how the Sirius reception was unusually choppy.

I will call the BMW liaison at Sirius on Monday and ask him if anything is going on. Maybe someone forgot to baste the bird.

mmmm...well I have had some dropped reception (few seconds lapse) but I am discounting that to environment. I did have 1 episode of de-activation (lasted 1/2 the day but it reactivated on its own) though...but overall its been consistent.

What does the Sirius update entail? Does it add more functions?
