Hey All,

I have an f30 340i with an NBT EVO head unit and I want to upgrade to a unit with carplay. I recently tried installing PEMP Android 11 unit, but it was unable to display the OEM BMW interface giving "No Signal" and the sound quality was crap.

Do you guys have any recommendations or experience to share?

Hello… in my opinion if you have a EVO it is best for you to code CarPlay in the original screen… you will get the best experience and sound quality

Thank you, I have the 2gig HU which I heard isnt good enough to update to id5/6. Is this still accurate?

hummm what is your map version and idrive istep version?... go to the map view and press the option button you should see a menu called version or something like that... inside there should be somethin like NBTEVO_XXXXXX
where xxx are leters and numbers
