walkie talkies for road trip

Going on a road trip through the desert with two BMWs. We'll be in the middle of nowhere with bad reception, so to stay connected during the drive, which walkie talkies are recommended? Easy of use, reliability, good range, would be the most important. I don't think the cars would be farther apart than a few miles. Using cell phones for this type of thing is not as practical.

LOL, these days they are all pretty good. We had a set that our kids used for several years. They have a range of about 1/2 mile. You can find several types at places like Home Depot. I don't think you'll have trouble with pretty much any of them.

Have a safe trip. Bring SPARE Tires and WATER! LOL And don't forget a supply of Fauci Approved Masks.

I picked up some Motorola FRS radios at Costco a while back, but I'm sure Amazon has a ton available. Just check the reviews first.

Oooh that should be fun. No idea though, other than to find some that have great battery life and are easy to charge in the car. We have some for the kids, as there are like a billion on Amazon, and they all have decent reviews. Good luck!
