E92 Seatbelt Tensioner Question

I Just moved from an 08 335i sedan to a '12 335is coupe a couple of months ago.
I have noticed that the upper belt, shoulder belt doesn't lock/tighten when you hit the brakes as it did on my sedan.
Just wondering what would keep me from slamming forward in a collision?
In my sedan, if your foot was on the brake at all the shoulder belt would not loosen, this coupes shoulder belt is loose as hell with brake or not.
Anyone else have this issue?

Nobody?

Ok, how about this, people with E92's does your seat belt stay snug against your body, tighten or is it loose?

If you yank it (with your hand), to replicate as if you were in a collision, does it lock up? If it does, its doing its job, it shouldn't really be tight if your just driving.

That's what I am saying, If you are just driving it should be loose, apply brakes and it should snug up or lock. Mine does not. The Sedan I had, the minute you put your foot on the brake it locked. Great, mine just went out of warranty too LOL!

Your not braking hard enough...... You need hit hit the brake fast (almost startling fast), not gradually press the pedal harder and harder. You can usually replicate it with tugging quickly on it also.

Yeah, tried that last night at a stop sign, still didn't lock up, looks like I'm headed back to the dealer. Like I said, in my Sedan, even if you were sitting still and just had your foot on the brake, the belt wouldn't give. You had to take your foot off the brake to get the belt to release. Then add in the Takata Airbag Shrapnel to the Coratid Artery and this car is becoming a death trap, LOL! Thanks for the help.
