Brake Fluid Flush
Ive been searching the forum but cant find it. Is can I gravity bleed the brakes or do I need ITSA(ISTA?)? Want to swap in Castrol but dont want to pay the dealer to do a flush if I can do it!

Yes sir! Coming out of a G80 M3 into a M5 (non comp unfortunately) but hoping for the best! Looking for Carbotech XP12s as well but have not had any luck. Do you track? What do you use for pads if you do? I track maybe 7-8 times a year, do a trip to "Tail of the Dragon" and maybe an autocross or two.

On my 2018 I used OEM and RacingBrake. RacingBrake were decent. Enless MX-72's are available (but never used by me). EBC's are available as well. BMW makes a pad (available in Europe, and shippable here) for the 'Ring taxi (but is VERY EXPENSIVE to import). Carbotech will make you a set if you send them a good set of backing plates. It requires a lot of phone calls and lots of expensive shipping, but might be worth it. My $0.02 recommendation from using Carbotech's on my GT-R would be XP-20's for track. Just me. The pad I use on my M5 CS is the stock pad. They are carbon ceramics. Pads recommended for carbon ceramics are few and far between. If I could get my choice, it would be Endless W007's. Shawn |

I've used EBC. Better than stock, but fast pad wear and hard on rotors. Pretty sure I need new rotors now but wish there were more aftermarket options for such.

Racingbrake makes a set. Ran them on my AMG back in the day. Enjoyed them.

I was looking at those RB 2 piece rotors recently. Have 40k miles on my rotors but think they have some life left. Where I live, change interval also depends on when the inside of the vanes have rusted up enough to block the holes. New stock rotors are $400-450 each.
