Winter wheel/tire setup question
Hello everyone,
Looking through the forum, but can't find an answer specific enough here. New owner of a 2022 M5 Comp. Looking for winter tire/wheel options aside from the OEM 19" 265/40R19 square setup (due to high pricing and odd availability lately). It looks like the SuperSpeed RF05RR would work in a square setup, given it's 19x9.5 ET25 and the OEM square wheel kit is ET26. Tire wise, I'll go the same as OEM with Michelin PA5 in 265/40R19. Any issues with the offset on those wheels if I'd do them in a square setup? Thanks Last edited by 175 HPBT; 10-08-2022 at 09:34 PM.. |

Why wouldn’t those wheels and tires work? The offsets are the same as for stock 19” wheels and 2mm different from 20” wheels and the the snow tires you want are undersized compared to stock. You might want some rear spacers to push the rears out a bit fit looks but that is not a necessity.

Undersized from what? The staggered summer sizing? The winter tire size I chose would be the same size as the OEM winters in a square setup. Unless I'm missing something?
And yeah, I was thinking about the spacers but then was going back and forth on whether I'd just want to do a staggered setup for the winters as well. But I won't be driving this too often in the winter anyhow; I just need something to make it safe to drive when I want to. Seems like square in 19" is the most economical way to get this done. |

Undersized from wider summer tires, which fit, so how could these narrower tires not fit? And the offset is 2mm different, which is less than 1/10 of an inch, so how could they not fit? This not rocket science. This is simple math.
