Anyone have 2nds, xpipe & stock exhaust?

I'm looking at catless secondaries and an X-pipe with a stock exhaust. Anyone have that setup? I've seen the secondaries with stock exhaust on here but not with the X. Does the rez delete make much of a difference on top of the secondaries?

Thanks!

I wish I could give you an answer. I have catless secondaries but I've been waiting a very long time for my res delete from Dinan. Every month the shipping date comes and goes. Hope it's worth the wait, though I've heard it may not be much different from the comp res.

I have MAD secondaries and a had a custom X pipe installed a few weeks ago. I would say a 20% increase in sound compared to secondaries only. The downside was that I had a lot of drone around 2,200 RPM that annoyed the hell out of me.

I ditched the setup and put in a Remus cat back that sounds much better. For the value though, the X pipe is probably worth it.

Removing res will increase sound. Whether x pipe or straight pipe will probably be transparent.

I have catless primary AND catless secondaries. Have had that setup for a few months now. Just recently received the Dinan X pipe and it did exactly what i wanted it to. I wasnt looking for so much more volume but a deeper tone. What i got was that deeper tone for sure, a bit more volume and the increased turbo whistle was an added bonus. If you think catless pipes increase the turbo whistle, wait until you do the X pipe. I feel as if the setup is ideal right now. Cold starts are loud but tolerable and if you go right into gear, you can avoid all the drama of the cold start. With valves closed, driving as quiet as you can, it sounds great. Deep, low and not obnoxious. With valves open, you can annoy everyone at will. The single most effective mod of all three was the catless primary pipes. All 3 Combined, its wonderful.

I have an X-pipe now and it's much louder in the crackles & pops, They're also more frequent and evident than stock. I'm getting the secondaries installed next week so hopefully there's some difference.

Stock exhaust and getting my secondaries installed on Monday. So far, removed carbon filter and dropped in BMC. My goal is a little more volume, deeper sound, no drone - and no significant increase in burps. Debating on straight pipe resonator delete and maybe muffler delete as well.

Thoughts?

I have the M sport exhaust, secondaries and intake. Still have the resonator as of now. The sound is terrific, and the spool is excellent. It could be a little louder though, so I may do the resonator or an axle back at some point. I just have a hard time justifying an exhaust when this one sounds so good already.

Just got car back from secondaries and wow, much meaner/beastly tone. I may hold off on the resonator delete for a bit. This and the drop in and carbon delete may have hit what I am looking for. One more thing coming though - Dinan turbo inlets…

x pipe will make your burbles louder for sure (with or without xpipe).
Secondaries will add a louder, throatier, fuller exhaust tone.

The location of the X affects drone as well. I thought I had drone around 1800-2k rpm but it turned out to be the active sound from the speakers. Tuned that off with bimmer code and it's fine now.

I have this set up. The rez delete by itself was night and day from stock. Removing the secondaries made everything louder, it didn't change the sound too much except the crackle & pops are much more aggressive. Cold starts are ridiculous. I leave my house early morning, so I have to start with the garage door closed so I don't disturb my neighbors.

Dinan xpipe on an otherwise stock exhaust was not much louder inside the car for me. Definitely was louder with more pops outside the car, but inside seemed a little quieter at normal cruising around
