No issues at the 1 year mark. Cruising in efficient at 1700-1900 rpm, I can hear the exhaust. I would not call it a drone and it does not bother me. I think that is the “drone” window regardless of brand of exhaust for these cars.

I have seen a few of these Chinese exhausts with a slightly longer muffler. Those should be a little quieter. I think this one is fine — in efficient mode it is totally civilized to me. Open it up or use sport or sport plus and it will snarl.

Not sure what is available today or the costs. If this one is more expensive now, look at the others. I have zero affiliation to this or any other brand and am not the forum parts peddler.
Thank you!

pbonsalb, I am curious. What did you do with your OEM exhaust system?

I cannot see that there’s a demand for the OEM exhaust. So what do you do with it? Do you just toss it?

I have it in my garage basement. It is a good exhaust, but not worth much so there is no point in selling it. Maybe when I sell the car one day, I will put it back on or give it to the buyer. I kept the midpipe and rear exhaust for my E90M3 and gave them to the buyer when I sold the car after 10 years.

The primary and secondary cats have more value but I would not sell those, either. The vultures scrapping them will buy yours but one day people may need it want cats and they are really expensive to buy new.

I'll say this recently install this exhaust on a 2022 M5 competition for a customer I wasn't happiest with fitment we had to space the valve actuators out from pipe due to the actuator clip rubbing bracket for actuator, also had to remove heat shield as well to re route connectors due to location change of actuator, passenger not too big of any issue, driver's side had to separate from pdc harness so it would reach actuator, definitely some Chinese fun when installing but better than the 8k exhausts out there

Interesting. For me the valve motors fit fine — no rubbing of bracket — but they were located differently from stock so I had to re-route the wire harness a little to get more harness length to reach the motor. Maybe because of my comment on that they relocated the motor brackets and did not get it perfect. I forget whether this can be done, but could the motors be swapped to avoid this rubbing or are they identical on every side and fit only one way?

I agree the value is incredible compared to what bigger name companies ask. I I installed mine myself, but if those paying a shop would have hours of extra labor that is something to consider.
