This has been loosely discussed before. It has nothing to do with AR1's design per se, it has to do with the fact that its a mesh style as opposed to long, linear spokes that go from the center towards the outside radius of the wheel (Hartge classic II's come to mind). This may be one reason that many of us are getting them in a large 19" size. In my opinion, mesh style wheels work best with most bemers, including e90. an 18 inch non mesh may give the appearance of a larger wheel.
