Hi BMW folks.....this is a FRIGGEN RANT....

I bought the Schwaben Scanner from ECS Tuning two years ago. It was reported as compatible with my 2018 M5. The device is marketed as the BMW/Mini scanner and upgradable.

After some back and forth with the company Foxwell it turns out that this model is no longer being supported despite only being 2 years old. They are not updating its BMW software to include cars newer than 2017. If you buy the regular NT510 or similar and not the ECS branded BMW/MINI or Mercedes or Audi/VAG etc you will be very limited in the upgrade path.

Now I have to buy another scanner which is supported for newer cars.

This is fraud on the part of ECS tuning.....
