The HK for me, I find that the door card speakers are getting too much bass and distort easily. The 200Hz band seems to be the culprit here.
I boost the 100Hz by +6 clicks, bring down the 200Hz by -5 or -6 clicks, boost the 500Hz by +4 or +5, then I set the rest to taste.
The the general bass and treble to taste as well but boost the general bass pretty high depending on what I listen to. This setting doesn't distort. Also, I always set everything to sound and "feel" good at highway speed.
Setting the whole thing to sound good in your driveway doesn't reflect the reality IMO.
