These cars are hardly strippers. More like siloutteracers.
Almost everything under the (carbon) bodywork (everything mechanical) is different.
Looking at the previous z4 gt3, I think everything was different, so completely different suspension arms, subframes, even the steel monocoque they begin with is completely different.
So these cars have nothing in common with their roadgoing counterparts, except that they somewhat look like them.
