I re-read this thread this evening now that I'm back at home and realized I'd missed your point--too hasty on my part. Apologies.
The underlying exhaust is identical to the M5--my friend that handles all of my car mods for me happens to have an F90 Comp exhaust propped up against a wall in his shop as well as the tips you saw in the pics I posted... so given that, I see now why you'd think they might fit.
Having now taken a proper look at how they're attached--there's nothing resembling a lock pin. All I see is the visible signs of welding you mentioned earlier. I grabbed the exhaust tip and tried to wiggle it, too--there's no play in there whatsoever... but I suspect that's what you'd already concluded.
