A new car that is still wrapped in the factory shipping plastic actually needs a full decon and paint correction. By 1500 miles, most cars would already have rock chips. These car paints don't hold up very well these days.
PPF is worth it to me because I can't stand chips.
I'm taking delivery tomorrow and my detailer is picking the car up on his enclosed trailer. No risking rock chips before my PPF is installed. 😉
