installed the intake about a week ago. there is a dramatic increase in sound as you approach approximately 2.8k rpm. You can definitely hear a subtle air-swish sound. All I can say is that this would be a great addition to any e9x's with relatively stock setups, for once you can actually hear the car when you decide to gun it. It basically sounds stock at idle and generally cant tell a difference until approaching a higher rpm range. Install took approximately fifteen minutes and takes little experience. Dont expect any sort of power gains and as of right now with relatively practical driving I get about 22 mpg, perhaps a gallon more than usual driving. I had some fitment issues with the front air scoop but works nonetheless. just some info if anyone was curious
