No surprise.
Now the question is, will the next generation M3/M4 move to DCT as the standard transmission and offer the manual as the no-cost option. This is how all of the series cars are sold. This would increase the base price for those who prefer the manual.
I think we have perhaps two more generations of M3/M4 with the 6MT offered. The M2 should continue longer, and they will be adding a 4 door so if you want a manual transmission, there will still be options.
