I can't wait to clean these things up on my car when it gets nicer out, I'm sure they will become swirl city very quickly tho.
FlagBonz if you do decide to polish them then do what
vonmayr said and only buff it lightly with a machine, I wouldn't use a high speed on a polisher on these trim pieces, probably has very thin paint and clear coat.
