The rear calls for the more expensive higher rated G4 fluid. It's synthetic. The front uses the lower rated stuff. Not sure why not put better fluid in both?

Thanks, Mike. I called back to clarify. You are correct and the service advisor went and spoke with the tech and HE FORGOT to change the front diff fluid. This is the M tech at Century West. He said he completely forgot the new M5 is AWD. Lesson learned - call out everything they need to do so you don't have my experience!!!
