As a military pilot, a HUD is useful when you have so many systems to monitor and cross-check while maintaining 3-dimensional situational awareness outside of the cockpit.
On a car it's just another annoying tech gadget of dubious usefulness.

100% agree. Have it on my current DD never use it. When I was doing certain things in the military the HUD on my equipment was awesome. But for a car, marginal usefulness
