You need to realise that insurance companies will happily reject any claim, if they think they can get away with it. Unfortunately, unsuspecting customers will only realise this when they try to make a claim, tyres involved or not, & their insurance company tells them where to go.

My advice would be to let your insurance company know, if you intend changing from run-flats to 'ordinary' tyres.

The final decision is yours.
