I did not say that there isn't plenty of money at these malls and they they were somehow a war zone or suddenly on the south side of Chiacgo. In fact there is tons of money all over Buckhead. But I would not "let" my wife go there by herself nor would she want to go there alone.
It's not like you automatically are in peril by going to Buckhead (Lenox and Phipps) but you need to stay alert and vigilant if anything about you makes you a target (female, nice car....) and I'd certainly stay away from the malls at night.
For many, many years Buckhead was thought to be a respite from the big city. All I'm saying is that is no longer the case. Buckhead is part of the city and if you fail to recognize that, it could bite you in the ass.
